11 Facts About Me

11 facts about me

Hey hey  😀

I posted this on Facebook, so I might as well make it a blog entry for the WordPress Community!

1.  I hate the word “suture”.   It freaks me out.  I hate the definition, and I don’t like what it looks like. I’m freaking out right now.

2.  I write lists.  Lots of lists.  I even have a list of lists I want to write.  Most of said lists are written on….

3. ….envelopes!!!!   My mother used to write things on the backs of old envelopes (recipes, scriptures, shopping lists, etc.) and I noticed that I do it too.   In fact….

4. When my mother died, I put her last Mother’s Day card in the casket with her. I wrote a list of promises in it, but I ended up writing the rest of it on the back of the envelope because I remembered a few more things after I sealed it!
I think she would have appreciated it though.

5.  My all time favorite sandwich is peanut butter and bacon…..

6.  ….which is a shame because I draw closer and closer to becoming a vegetarian.

7.   I used to hate sweet potato pie!  When I finally tried it, I loved it, but unfortunately it gives me terrible heartburn, so now I CAN’T eat it.  GAH!

8.  So far in my life I have never broken a bone.  Thank you Jesus!

9.  I want to be a rock star when I grow up.  I’m keeping hope alive that it will happen.   (The growing up part.)

10.  I love the smell of puppy breath. Puppy lovers know what I mean.

11.  I read about 30 comic strips a day.  I am always looking for more to add to my collection.  My favorite one right now is Zen Pencils.  Check it out.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Green

OK, OK….I know that this isn’t exactly GREEN per se, but this is the first image that came to my mind when I saw this week’s photo challenge.   This is a picture of little old (or young) me at 2 months old covered in money, or ‘green’ as we Americans call it.  Not sure why my brother did that, but whenever I see this picture it makes me smile.   Aww…I’m so cute…bless.

While I was searching for that picture, I came across this one of my dog relaxing in the back garden.   Green enough for you (erm….the grass, not the dog)?

Blank Canvas

As 2012 quickly comes to a close, I am prompted to take stock of all the things I wanted to accomplish this year. Blogging is one of them.  I was afraid to do it, but I’m glad I did because it has been received so well by the WordPress Community (thank you so much 😀 ).   I figure if I put it out into the WordPress Universe, it will hold me accountable to start a project and actually see it through to completion (worth a try anyway).   So here I go…new month, blank canvas…..which brings me to what I want show you today:

I bought these supplies a year ago in the hopes that it would motivate me to create something.   I’m not an artist by any means, but I truly believe that I should be able to draw something beautiful and display it with pride.  Good, bad or ugly, I will show you the finished project in a later post.  Wish me luck!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Big

Hey Hey!

First of all, I would like to thank the WordPress Community for all of the likes, and to welcome  my new followers.  Thank you so much!  😀

I took this picture when I got home from a not very good day at work.    This rainbow reminded me that all of This (God, the Universe, etc) is much much BIGGER than my little problems.   It made me know that everything would be okay.   I got absolutely SOAKED, but it was worth it.
