Every day my Dictionary.com app pings me the Word Of The Day. I never paid that much attention to it until I had to come up with a random word for the Daily Prompt. My random word is:
According to Wikipedia, it is “the French name for a werewolf, sometimes used in English, is loup-garou (pronounced /lugaˈru/), from the Latin noun lupus meaning wolf. The second element is thought to be from Old French garoul meaning “werewolf”. This in turn is most likely from Frankish *wer-wulf meaning “man-wolf”.
Some of the images I saw were hideous (they’re supposed to be…they ARE werewolves after all), but the 11th image is absolutely gorgeous:
It brings to mind the fact that people get a little crazy every time there’s a full moon. Even though we don’t sprout hair and fangs, there’s a werewolf deep down inside all of us.
